Father who dedicated four sons to Iran's Revolution cause dies at 84

Tehran, IRNA – Mohammad Ziaee, a father who dedicated four sons to the cause of Iran's Islamic Revolution, has passed away.

According to reports, Ziaee died of old age at 84 on Tuesday. 

He was the father of martyrs Majid, Khodabakhsh, Asghar, and Mohammadreza Ziaee.

12-year-old Majid was martyred in pre-Islamic Revolution demonstrations at the hands of the Pahlavi regime’s forces, while the other three brothers were martyred during Iraq’s war against Iran in the 1980s.

16-year-old Asghar embraced martyrdom in southern Karkheh on September 3, 1981. Khodabakhsh was martyred during Operation Tariq al-Qods on December 6, 1981, at the age of 18. And Mohammadreza was only 14 when he was martyred in Eyn Khvosh during Operation Muharram on November 2, 1982.
